# eth_getBlockByNumber

# `eth_getBlockByNumber`

Returns block information by block number.

## Parameters

-   `blockParameter`: _[required]_ Hexadecimal block number, or `latest`, `earliest`, `pending`, `finalized`.
-   `fullTransactions`: _[required]_ If `true`, returns full transaction objects. If `false`, returns only transaction hashes.

## Returns

A block object, or `null` if no block is found. Key fields include `number`, `hash`, `parentHash`, `timestamp`, `gasUsed`, `gasLimit`, `baseFeePerGas`, and `transactions`.
